Hello fellow NNELVES, and welcome to Week 2! We are so happy with all the discussions and work done so far, and we are really excited to continue on this journey of learning with all of you!

You should now be done with your preliminary trial of Hit the Ground Running. Your buddy (Leah, Rachel, or myself) will be providing individual feedback of what you have sent us as well as more general feedback later this week. This should provide enough information to start working on producing your book! We are hoping everyone can start working on their own books by Friday, March 2nd.

This week, we will be diving deeper into alt text and also looking at a couple children’s books. We have created several posts for the week. Please take your time going through each of these topics. There is no rush to respond, as these will pretty much cover all that we are hoping to discuss this week. We are looking for as much advice and information as possible, but please do not feel pressure to respond to all the questions!

Week 2: Alt text for Images (General) - viewtopic.php?f=86&t=221
Week 2: Alt text for Maps - viewtopic.php?f=86&t=227
Week 2: Alt text for Graphs/Charts - viewtopic.php?f=86&t=233
Week 2: Children’s Stories - Two Books to Review and Questions - viewtopic.php?f=86&t=215

We may also post new topics throughout the week if we want to discuss something more thoroughly under its own heading, but we will be sure to email you to let you know if this is the case! Also, we were unable to create additional forums (i.e. the level above these topics), which is why we suggest to standardize each week by starting each heading with “Week 2”.

Looking forward to the week ahead,
