Hi there, name is Pikiora and I am a librarian from New Zealand.

Just wanted to say hello and have a look around the forums. Looks like there is some great work going on here and I am looking forward to reading about it.

Hope wherever you are, you are all snug and warm.

Pikiora.

Nice to meet you!

Where in New Zealand do you live? Sorry if this is a silly question, but, does New Zealand ever get much snow?

Haha. Pikiora is going to love this question. :)

Pikiora is working on our Audio Recording Kit (ARK) project.

Leah is one of our Production Assistants in Alberta.

Both of you are good at laughing.

Yes, laughing is one of my favourite things! Right up there with coffee.

I am from Wellington in New Zealand, but have lived all over. Last place I lived in NZ was in a teeny tiny town called Marton.

Now I live in Terrace BC. and am utterly smitten. Yesterday We had snow drifts so high we turned them into a slide, and eagles landed on the road outside of our house! A Mazing!

@leahbrochu not a silly question at all New Zealand gets very little snow, in fact until I came here I had not seen it except on the top of mountains. There are a few places that snow in NZ, low down in the South Island and sometimes on the Desert road, high up in the middle of NZ.

Sorry to bud into this conversation, but that sounds magical. I love playing in snow banks and interacting with wildlife.

I am also super interested in learning more about this ARK project.
As Always,

Rachel
