Hello team!

We just wanted to take a minute and discuss this project as a whole, with respect to our goals, hopes, dreams, and realities.

As we have said, the most important part of this project is what we can learn from you. We know that our current workflows might not work very well in all instances, and we want to work on fine-tuning and improving our approach. In order to do that, we are interested in hearing about your challenges, frustrations, and successes. Thank you so much for sharing what you already have.

Many of you have already been doing this, but we encourage you to play around with the work and the workflow. Feel free to try to develop workarounds, and then tell us about them, whether they ended up working for you, or not.

While you each have a book to work on, some of them are quite complex and it is possible that we won’t be able to complete them…and that is 100% OK! This project is more about figuring things out and learning from the problems that come up. Our hope is that no one gets stressed out while working on their books; this project is something of an experiment and the value is more on learning than on production!

The project is also flexible; if you have an idea for something to work on which goes beyond what we have begun, we’d be happy to discuss it.

The grant-based nature of the project has put a tight timeframe on the work, and we want to learn as much as we can during the time that we have.

Things are off to a great start and we are excited to continue working with you! I hope this message has been encouraging and reassuring :)

If you have any questions, suggestions, comments, let us know!
